our services for museums and libraries
Porta Temporum develops educational formats that integrate smoothly into the educational and exhibition work of history museums, libraries and similar institutions.
We are convinced that personal experience and experimentation lead to holistic and comprehensive learning and a lasting interest in history and art. All our techniques and replicas are based on in-depth research and are lovingly crafted down to the last detail. Our research-based approach enables us to convey a deeper understanding of the era.
Based on these guiding principles, we have developed services that you can find out more about on this website. With us, you gain a partner who complements your work in an engaging way and expands it in a manner that is both professional and appealing to the public. We look forward to hearing from you.
mobile scriptorium
We would be happy to bring our mobile scriptorium to your institution. At our display, anyone interested can learn about the work in a scriptorium around the year 1300. What steps were necessary to create a page by hand before the invention of the printing press? We provide your visitors with a unique glimpse into the past and a look at the scribe's side of the writing desk. We look forward to explain the art of writing in the Middle Ages and answering any questions visitors may have.
cooperation
We place great emphasis on tailoring all our offers to suit your professional focus or event. This also applies to the contractual cooperation between your institution and Porta Temporum: together, we will find the right solution to suit your programme and budget. We look forward to hearing from you.
our experiences
We were able to test the theory and practice of educational work not only during our studies but also gained valuable experience in museums, archives and schools beyond our training. You can find out more about our qualifications here:
